Memories are a writer’s unique resource. Whether you are writing fact or fiction, these gems can enrich your writing, adding colour, depth and emotion to an otherwise pedestrian piece of work.
Creative writing tutor and author Sarah Evans discusses basic writing techniques and offer tips on how to tackle memoir writing without getting bogged in the details.
The workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced writers. Bring along pen, paper and plenty of enthusiasm.

Living the Good Life: Words, Weeds and Wood-Smoke
Author Sarah Evans has spent years attempting to balance her passion for writing with her family’s semi self-sufficient hobby farm and home-schooling lifestyle in the Blackwood Valley. This talk will give some idea of how Sarah has managed to write novels, award-winning short stories, poems and songs alongside raising a brood of children and a menagerie of fur and feather.
